«Agro-Azerinvest» LLC, the founder of which is “Gilan Holding”, was set up in 2004.

The basic activity direction of the company is revival of previous glory of viniculture and winemaking in Azerbaijan in view of latest global achievements gained in this spheres.

The enterprise combines in the activity modern technology and traditions of the Azerbaijan winemakers, carrying out stage-by-stage creation of the closed cycle of production from a raw-material base and their processing to releasing of high-quality production.

According to the long-term program, the Society carries out planting of new vineyards in traditional regions of cultivation of grapes (Goygol, Samukh, Tovuz, Yevlakh, Gabala, Lankaran). Presently the Company possesses about 2000 hectares of land, from which about 940 hectares are given for vine growing. implanted technical grades brought from Georgia (Saperavi, Rkastiteli, Mtsvane, Alexandrauli), from France (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir) and as well as national sorts like Madrasa, Bayan Shirey, white and black Shany were grown in these lands, and table and raisin sorts like Batyr, Black raisin, White raisin, Pink Taifu have been planted here. As experiment, sorts brought from France (Merlot, Chardonnay, Alicante, Verdo, Marselan, Sultanin, Danita, Carignan, Prima), from the Crimean National Institute of Grapes and Wines "Magarach" (Muscat, Karaburnu, the Crimean Pearl, Citron of Magarach, Cardinal, Risling, Krasen, etc.) and also other collection and elite sorts (more than 70 sorts) brought from various countries have been planted on probation area of the Society in Goygol region, on 2 hectares of land.
